I love the art of healing on all levels, and have an innate curiosity about the workings of the human body and consciousness. I support my clients by cultivating self-awareness, and helping them activate their innate strengths and resources.  


In addition to being well trained in coaching and yoga therapy (I began teaching in 2003), I have spent decades studying and mentoring with many wonderful teachers of various traditions from qi gong, energy healing, bodywork, functional medicine health, somatics, shamanic medicine training, The Four Fold Way training, self-inquiry, and more. 


I believe we all have answers within. My mission as a coach is to listen with presence, and help my clients create connection and  conditions for self-healing and transformation.

All About Balance Book

With a combined 60 years experience teaching movement, This new book, All About Balance,  co-authored by Karen and her mother Shirley, gives a foundation in the components of balance. It offerss a perspective of common age-related changes to balance and what we can do about it.  It covers the science of balance, the ancient wisdom and the experience;  integration of Eastern focus on internal awareness, breath, and flowing movement, with a western core strength, function, and flexibility approach to balance. Both are important.

Seniors in Balance Video

This one hour Seniors in Balance Video, with author clips, is a downloadable version of the practices offered in the book, presented in the sequence of a virtual class.  The practices are shown partially seated and partially standing, with the standing movements also demonstrated in a chair.

Movement Classes and 1-1

In one-one movement sessions I work with the clients needs, often involving getting more in tough with their body, building confidence and strength, or improving balance.  My  emphasis is on  integrating movement, awareness, breath, energy flow, relaxation, and building strength and vitality from the inside out.

Coaching

Health is a dynamic state, that involves body, mind, spirit and connection.  I help clients identify and work with their personal strengths, bring awareness to their thoughts, discover what’s blocking them, see their goals clearly, and create a personal plan for achieving those goals.  Every session begins by setting a sacred, clear and supportive space. It  is a collaborative process sustained with deep listening, and a skill set for transformational change.
