Over the past four decades, I have trained and studied with many wonderful teachers, coaches, and energy healers; and acquired tools modern and ancient which have seen me through many stages of life. Healing is a practice and a passion for me, and the intention I bring to every coaching session.
I began teaching yoga classes and one-one yoga therapy sessions in 2003. In those early years I also co-authored a manual on balance for seniors using yoga and chi gong; taught chi gong to children in elementary public schools in the Bay Area; and taught therapeutic classes in bone health, back care, and balance.
After my son was born, and years of helping him navigate multiple food allergies, I decided to hone my knowledge and trained as Functional Medicine health coach. My understanding and application of special diets and gut healing protocols is extensive. I have since expanded my education and integrated my years of training and experience to focus on women, blending my experience in health and wellness coaching, diet, physical movement, breath, awareness, self-inquiry, meditation, and energy work.
Along the way, having wanted deeply to become a mother, I went through a comprehensive fertility journey, using the resources of eastern, alternative and western medicine. In my late 40's I gave birth to my son. I am passionate about supporting women wanting to conceive.
Prior to all of that I had an 18 year career in architectural design and green building, creating an in-house ground-up green building program the Gap Inc. aimed at helping move the Gap Inc. sustainability standards and retail building industry forward.
Every woman's journey is unique, yet there are pivotal times in a woman’s life inherently ripe with opportunity for growth, healing and transformation. I offer a safe supportive space for exploration and collaboration, tools and practices of many years work, and the skills of a trained coach and yoga therapist.
Coaching can help clients take steps to improve diet, exercise, sleep, work-life-family balance, or follow prescribed protocols for specific health conditions in a way that works for them. Wellness is a dynamic state. Coaching involves helping women activate their strengths and resources, and move through self-limiting blocks, to a place of greater health and wellbeing.
Under stress, immediate or patterned, we need ways to re-connect with our mind/heart/body/breath, and re-establish sense of balance.
Coaching helps clients tend to their inner fire, and develop a set of uniquely empowering tools to establish greater resilience in managing present and longterm stress.

Moving with meaning is about connecting body, mind and spirit in movement to develop our strength from within.
Whether you are starting to try to conceive, have been at it a while, or are beginning assisted reproductive Technology (ART), the process can be full of anticipation, stress, and sometimes trauma. Fertility Coaching is about receiving support, managing stress, self-nurturing and proactively preparing the body and mind for what's ahead. What we do to nourish ourselves, grow, and open to conceive, we also do for the future health of ourselves and our family. Coaching can help in navigating this important process with a greater sense of ease and support.
Menopause, while often disruptive, can be an incredible opportunity for transformation, emotionally, physically and spiritually, as the body itself undergoes profound change. Hormones have a large impact on our emotions, ligaments, muscle fibers, bones, digestion, virtually all aspects of our being. Diet, exercise, stress, balance, support, self-esteem, creativity, connection all play a role in our response to menopause and our post-menopause years. Coaching is geared towards helping women navigate these changes in a way that supports them to thrive.
Aging gracefully, I believe, involves both acceptance of our humanity as well as a defiance of the forces of gravity (the long held belief that age is a liability). It means finding presence and peace within ourselves with authenticity, and finding ways to show up with a sense of purpose and meaning no matter our circumstances. Coaching and classes can help bring awareness; empower us through gentle effective movement to support balance, bones, circulation, or other health issues; explore diet to reduce inflammation, support brain health, reframe our stories, and make heartfelt connection.
