The Video
The Seniors in Balance video is a three part one hour class taught by Karen, along with author clips. This class mirrors the sequence shown in the All About Balance Book.
The movements, incorporating elements of yoga, qigong, and western mind/body movement, are demonstrated seated and standing (with the option to remain seated during the standing portion). We recommend using the back of a chair to support the standing movements for stability where needed.
The movements have been taught to seniors of varying capabilites and are found to be both deeply relaxing and gently strenghtening.

About Karen
A bit about Shirley…
Shirley, an accredited Chi LelTM Qigong instructor, and well regarded teacher in the SF Bay Area, taught the healing movement arts for 40 plus years. For 20 years, she taught Senior balance, Qigong and Tai Chi classes to hundreds of students in various locations in the Bay Area. While she is now retired from public teaching, she still enjoys her practices in Tai Chi/Qigong and attends, and occasinally substitute teaches, weekly classes taught by her daughter Karen.
